The Mobile Marketing Niche Enforces a Quick Yes- or a Quick No

It seems that mobile marketing comes in waves. It began with blogs, then moved to social media, and is now transitioning to the mobile market. There are a few others in between, but this is the overall trajectory. Mobile marketing may be one of the biggest of them all simply because at least 50 to 60% of Americans report owning a smartphone. This means that not only is internet enabled with the majority of Americans, but they have access to it no matter where they are located. This is a massive pool of potential.

The Importance of Marketing Strategy in Mobile

The one great flaw with mobile marketing now is that it can be a bit invasive. Rarely are responses to a mobile marketing message mixed. It either causes an immediate response or an immediate decline. Consider what people are doing when you have a phone. They are living their lives, and a message prompt from the mobile phone is a distraction. If they are not willing to partake in that distraction right away they will close it. They may even cancel the app. If they’re interested in the message, they may reply immediately.

The Quick Call and Response

Think about any moment a message popped up from a specific app. The message requires an immediate response. This type of immediacy causes the response to be from the gut because it is not always expected. In many ways, a mobile message is largely based on how often it is relayed, and not so much on the content of that particular message. Consider for a moment a popular app that uses game coins. The developers may send a message out the says free coins are available for playing now. The app could say that a new feature was added to the game. The first one can be sent out at any time. It can theoretically be sent every two hours, and will almost certainly cause users to block the app. The other has more substance. Balancing out a mobile marketing effort with big messages and smaller messages will cause the consumers to be engaged in a healthy way.

These dmsmn, along with many others, can be learned about at the annual Digital Marketing Conference. The yearly Digital Marketing Conference is a huge effort where individuals of all backgrounds learn about how to expose the marketing potential of the mobile market.
